The initial business plan had target goals for video, Internet and phone but the business plan constantly changed. One missing projection was value the electric system gained from the network, qualifying is for over $3 miilion in grants. FiberNet did reach cash flow and net income well ahead of business plan so financial goals were met. Other major goals reached were:
1. To provide competition that held video rates steady
2. Significant broadband improvement for greater efficiency of education, goverment, and business.
3. To provide a full array of business services for better efficiency and productivity, as well as cost savings in telephone & data applications. Poor broadband had been a constant compliant by existing industry and business.
4. Economic development is enhanced in recruiting of industry to our community.
5. Modernization of the electric system with Smart meters, SCADA upgrades, outage management and many operational cost reductions.
